Albert (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is a cosmologist.He lives with his son,Adam.His wife died giving birth to Adam. The father son relationship is not so good as Adam is always making quarrels in his school.

A comet is approaching earth and for 9 days because of electromagnetic pulse there will be no elecricity in the world.Dr.Iniyat Khan (Prakash Raj) Albert's mentor asks him to go to the Himalayas and research and record about the comet.Albert reached Himalayas with Adam and his team of scientists.

On the day of passing of the comet,Albert meets a girl called Eva (Wamiqua Gabbi) in the forest.As she got separated from her friends and there is no way to reach them.Albert allows Eva to stay with them in the Banglow

Soon,Adam discovers that Eva is not the beautiful girl she seems to be,but someone very different.Adam must tell Albert the truth,else everything will go wrong.But will he be able to do that?

9 is a brilliant attempt by the makers as it is the fist Mollywood film to tell a story which goes through various genres like sci fiction,horror,mystery,drama and psychological thriller.This is a flim which ends with an open climax - meaning the viewer can interpret the climax according to his viewpoint.

This is one of a kind mollywood film with it's brilliant script and stunning performances.Loved it..
